Accessibility
Our commitment
We want the Women’s Online Wellbeing (WOW) website to be accessible to as many people as possible. We aim to ensure that content is easy to find, read, understand and interact with, and that it works across a range of devices and assistive technologies.
Compliance status
The WOW website aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA.
The site is built and hosted using Squarespace. While some elements are determined by the platform’s templates and third-party components, we take reasonable steps within these constraints to meet accessibility requirements.
What should work well
We aim for the website to:
be usable on different devices and screen sizes
allow text to be resized up to 200% without loss of functionality
use clear headings and page structure
provide alternative text for images
support keyboard navigation
meet colour contrast requirements
Known limitations
Some content may not be fully accessible, including:
third-party embedded content (such as social media feeds or video players)
linked documents (for example PDFs) that may vary in accessibility
Machine translation is available via Google Translate as an accessibility aid. Translations are automated and may not be fully accurate.
Where possible, we will provide accessible alternatives on request.
External websites
The WOW website may link to external websites or services (for example, event registration or research participation platforms). We are not responsible for the accessibility of third-party content, but we will seek to use accessible services wherever possible.

If you experience any accessibility barriers, or need information from this website in a different format (such as accessible PDF, large print, audio, or accessible HTML), please contact:

We welcome feedback and will aim to respond as soon as reasonably possible.
Enforcement
In the UK, the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) is responsible for enforcing the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.
