Take Part in the WOW Project
Help us understand women’s experiences of digitalised violence across Europe
Women’s Online Wellbeing (WOW) is inviting women across Europe to participate in our upcoming research on digitalised violence.
Your experiences, insights, and perspectives can help us better understand how online abuse affects wellbeing and how support systems can be improved.
We’ll be opening participation in stages throughout the project. You can register your interest now to receive updates.

A Trauma-Informed Approach
We recognise that topics such as online abuse and digitalised violence can be sensitive or distressing. Our research team is trained in trauma-informed practices, and you can withdraw your participation at any time.
If you ever feel upset, triggered, or unsure, please visit our Support Services page for organisations that can offer help.
Is This Project Right for Me?
You are welcome to register your interest if you:
identify as a woman
live in the UK, Ireland, Sweden, Spain or Poland
are aged 18 or over
have experienced online harm, or
are interested in contributing to research on digitalised violence against women
You do not need to currently be experiencing abuse, and you do not need to share anything personal when registering.
What Taking Part Involves
-

Europe-Wide Survey
Later in the project, we will launch a confidential online survey exploring women’s experiences of digitalised violence, online safety, and wellbeing. Women aged 18+ living in the UK, Ireland, Sweden, Spain or Poland will be eligible to participate.
-

Optional Interviews
We will invite some participants to take part in a one-to-one online interview to explore their experiences in more depth. These conversations are conducted safely and sensitively by trained researchers.
-

Project Updates
You may also sign up simply to receive project news and announcements, without taking part in any research activities.
